Based on the 17th Century Middle Eastern story-cycle about a heroic sailor who has fantastic adventures going to magical places, meeting monsters and encountering supernatural phenomena, the stop-motion film The 7th Voyage of Sinbad was conceptualized by ground-breaking animator Ray Harryhausen. When a princess is shrunken by an evil wizard, Sinbad must undertake a quest to an island of monsters to cure her and prevent a war. Fun for everyone age 6 and up.

In 2008, the film was selected in for preservation for its cultural, historical and aesthetic significance.

“A grand, glorious outing, with effects-maestro Ray Harryhausen in terrific form.” – Rob Vaux, Flipside Movie Emporium
