Yukon Gold: Episode 1

This screening took place on
Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 4:30pm
Yukon Arts Centre

Watch the world premiere presentation of episode one of History Television’s Yukon Gold. This original new series by Paperny Entertainment follows four mining crews as they try to strike it rich during northern Canada’s extremely short mining season. Yukon Gold was shot in locations across the Yukon and is scheduled to premiere in March 2013.

In Yukon Gold crews are embedded in four gold mining camps between the spring melt and the fall freeze-up. It is the ultimate dirty job – and these miners have only four short months to earn their one BIG payday. Battling mechanical breakdowns and 24-hour days under the midnight sun, these diehards have gold fever, and it keeps them coming back year after year for another chance to wager it all.
