ALFF Pitch Event

The Yukon Film Society is pleased to announce the eighth annual ALFF Pitch Event, as part of the Available Light Film Festival.

The Pitch Event will be held in-person on Saturday February 10th starting at 7:00 pm in Whitehorse. Six teams will have 5 minutes each to pitch their ideas for short, one-off documentaries, experimental and fiction productions to panel of visiting film and media industry decision-makers.

This event is free to attend! Everyone is welcome.

  • Get There From Here, Nicole Bauberger
  • Immigrants Dream, June Kukina
  • Music Video Behind-the-Scenes, Matthew Lien
  • Teach Me How To Throat Sing, Christine Genier
  • Yukon DJ Drives, Jon Gelinas

And our panel of industry professionals!

  • Avi Federgreen (IndieCan Entertainment)
  • Dr. Jules A. Koostachin (Writer-Director, WaaPaKe)
  • Mike Gravitis (Northwestel Community TV)
  • Robin Summerfield (Senior Producer, CBC Absolutely Canadian)

 

ABOUT THE ALFF PITCH PRIZE

The jury selected winner will receive $7,500 cash and $5,000 in-kind production services and equipment towards the production of the film. The ALFF Pitch Prize is sponsored by Northwestel Community Television and the Yukon Film Society.
