Whether you are trying to adjust the colour temperature of a video or to establish shot-to-shot colour consistency, colour plays an important role in today's film-making. Well corrected / graded videos will not only look great, but will help audiences better immerse themselves into your film.
In this short and very hands-on workshop, the participants will learn the basics of colour correction. We will explore such concepts as: colour theory, incorporating scopes into viewing your footage, performing basic colour correction, and enhancing the aesthetics of videos.
Practice footage will be provided. If the participant chooses, they can also bring their own footage.
Shawn Jo is a video editor and film-maker currently based in Whitehorse. A Graduate of the BCIT television broadcasting program, he has spent the past 6 years working as a producer for CTV2 and as Media Technician for Northwestel Community TV. Now with his sights set on becoming a top-notch colourist, Shawn hopes to continue his journey in film-making and contribute to the development of Yukon’s film-making scene.
