The Yukon Film Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to nourishing filmmakers and film lovers by implementing the following mandate:

  1. To exhibit independent and alternative moving picture, audio, multi-disciplinary and digital media art works to Yukon audiences.
  2. To support the production and distribution of Yukon independent moving picture, audio and new media art works.
  3. To provide training, and access to production equipment for Yukon moving picture, audio and digital media artists.

Festival Producer Responsibilities

This is a 9-month term position working under the supervision of the YFS Artistic Director, Administrator and Board of Directors, and in collaboration with the Technical Coordinator. The Festival Producer will implement the YFS's artistic vision and strategy with regard to Available Light Film Festival (ALFF) 2020 and ensure that all programming is in line with the aims, mandate and policies of YFS.

Guest Services and Venue Management

Public Relations and Marketing

Funding and Fundraising Activities

Education, Experience and Skills

Salary and Benefits
This is an 9-month term position From July 2019 to March 31, 2020, at $24 per hour. Hours will be approximately 50 hrs/mth for July and August, 80 hrs/mth September to December, and 100 – 120 hrs/mth January to March 2020. There is a possibility that this position will become permanent.
