48-Hour Music Video Challenge

Music Yukon, Klonkide Institute of Art & Culture and Yukon Film Society present the inaugural 2018 48-hour Music Video Challenge! Thank you for your interest in the inaugural 48-Hour Music Video Challenge! This is an opportunity to pair up with a filmmaker or a musician, have yourself be paired up with a filmmaker/musician (we will help you with that!), or make a video based on your own song all by yourself! The challenge takes place from August 24th (Friday at 5:00PM) to 26th (Sunday). Register with Google forms: deadline to enter is August 22nd Register here • The fee for entry is $20 and can be dropped off at Music Yukon, Yukon Film Society, or KIAC. Cash is preferred. • If you are a musician or a filmmaker and need to be paired with other musician or filmmaker, let us know. We will connect you with other participants. NOTE: in the case that there is an odd number of musicians to filmmakers or vice versa, $20 registration fee will be refunded to entrants who will not be able to participate. • Participants from anywhere in the Yukon as well as outside the territory may participate and can upload their film to You Tube or Vimeo. We must have the link by the end of 26th on Sunday. (No exceptions) • Maximum length 5 minutes. (There is no minimum length) • No pornographic or inappropriate material will be accepted • 50% discount on YFS/KIAC Equipment for 48 Hour Music Video Challenge productions • All films must acknowledge Music Yukon, the Yukon Film Society (YFS), and the Klondike Institute of Art and Culture (KIAC) in their credits • All completed videos will be shown at screenings in Whitehorse and Dawson City (screening date/location TBA) All completed videos will also be shown on the Northwestel Community TV. *The photo credit - video by Erin Corbett and Selene Vakharia of Jona Barr performing at Incidentals Music Launch Party
