Award-winning filmmaker and editor Justin Oakey leads a hands-on masterclass focused on shaping story in the edit. Using real scenes and editorial breakdowns from projects including The King Tide, Blood for Dust, and A Fire in the Cold Season, Oakey walks participants through decisions around pacing, performance, structure, and tension, showing how small editorial choices radically change meaning. This session is designed for editors and directors looking to actively engage with narrative problem-solving in the edit suite.
