ALFF 2019 Video Art submissions now open!!

Video Art Submissions for Available Light Film Festival 2019 are now open. Taking place February 2 to 10, the 17th annual Available Light Film Festival will feature video art by Northern artists or inspired by the North in the Yukon Arts Centre Lobby. The festival will also feature 40+ screenings of contemporary International and Canadian cinema, media art and live performances. Guidelines for submitting Video Art works: • We are seeking video art inspired by or created by artists in the Yukon, Northwest Territories or Nunavut. • For this call, works must be single channel video art. (If you have works that you would like to propose but do not fit this requirement, please contact Rebecca Manias, ALFF Video art coordinator at the contact information below.) • Videos will be shown in a public space and should be suitable for all visitors of all ages. If not, the video must contain warnings. Required documents: • Artist statement • Technical requirements (if applicable) • Artist bio • Screening link • Artist contact information All submissions will be reviewed and selected by the Yukon Film Society programming team.
