YUKON48 Overflows with Films!!

With 28 films completed in 1 weekend, the 2020 YUKON48 Video Challenge was one of the most successful on record. Congratulations to all the filmmakers who gave up their weekend and treated audiences to a diverse and enjoyable evening of Yukon made cinema.

2 live screenings (and a facebook stream) were each held in Whitehorse (YFS)  and Dawson City (KIAC) over this past weekend and these are the results!

We would like to thank all the volunteers who helped put on the screenings and to the judges who deliberated over a crop of really good  entries. The jury members were Angela Code,  Bill Kendrick, Katie Newman and Bobby Ronka.

First Prize (Tie)
Smash by Douglas Joe, Dustin Titus and Annie Johnsgaard
Off the Record by Yasmine Reanaud, Cud Eastbound, Justine Hobbs and Jess VanDen Broek
 

Each Film will receive:
1 ALFF 2020 Online subscription ($75 value) for Available Light Film Festival 2021 (or equivalent equipment rental credit) and a Screening at Dawson City International Short Film Festival, which comes with 2-2021 DCISFF Passes  + 2 ALFF 2020 T-Shirts + one Sovereign Soil DVD
