Celebrated Mi’kmaw artist Alan Syliboy returns with a new story about friendship and the importance of traditional knowledge in this beautifully animated short, inspired by his book of the same name. Best friends Wolverine and Little Thunder spend their days eel fishing — until they come face to face with a legendary giant eel. As the challenge unfolds, their friendship and courage are put to the test. Wolverine and Little Thunder is a heartwarming tale of bravery, problem-solving, and the enduring bond between the Mi’kmaq and one of their most sacred food sources, rooted in traditional knowledge and deep cultural connection to land and water.

WHISPERS OF HOME

Whispers of Home is a 2D digitally animated film based on photos taken during the director's trip to Salamiyah, her hometown, in the summer of 2024. It was her first visit to Syria after thirteen years due to a decade-long civil war. The film is a love letter to her family and heritage.
