A unique journey of discovery to five of the most remote and isolated islands in the Arctic Archipelago. With UAV-mounted 4K cameras, we view mountains, glaciers and spectacular vistas no helicopter or human could ever reach. All five islands are uninhabited, yet richly populated with animals and plants amazingly adapted to the harshest climate on the planet including Herschel Island (off Yukon’s Arctic Coast), Devon (South of Ellesmere), and Coats (northern Hudson Bay). The real estate is impressive. Devon is the largest island in the world with population “0.” Arctic Secrets brings viewers unique and intimate images of the Arctic’s most iconic wildlife. Episode 5 takes place at the Niginganiq marine sanctuary which is located on the northeast coast of Baffin Island and is an annual gathering pace for the bowhead whales who are the centre of this episode. Filmmakers in attendance. World premiere.
