Back for a encore week, Wes Anderson's finely-layered dry comedy carries more emotional heft than previous outings The French Dispatch or Isle of Dogs. It really needs to be seen twice.

The itinerary of a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention (organized to bring together students and parents from across the country for fellowship and scholarly competition) is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events.

Recommended for ages 13+ for brief graphic nudity, smoking and suggestive material.

Asteroid City visually arresting but with a grounded, charming, and considered script that confronts themes of parenthood and grief, as well as the transporting power of both stargazing and daydreaming. It is an easy film to love. - Vogue
