James and Dorothy Smith documented life in Atlin with an 8mm movie camera during the first 15 years of their marriage. Images from the collection have been selected and edited into chapters for this presentation that depicts scenes of town life, journeys on Atlin Lake, a picnic at the warm springs, winter life and gold mining at Discovery and Surprise Lake. Whitehorse-based multi-instrumentalist Maynard provides an impressionistic live score. Smith Collection access provided by Yukon Archives and James and Dorothy Smith.
