Killers of the Flower Moon

Friday, November 3 until Thursday, November 9, 2023Yukon Theatre

Enormous in runtime, theme, and achievement, Killers of the Flower Moon is a sobering appraisal of America's relationship with Indigenous peoples and yet another artistic zenith for Martin Scorsese and his collaborators. 95% on Rottentomatoes.

Based on David Grann's broadly lauded best-selling book, "Killers of the Flower Moon" is set in 1920s Oklahoma and depicts the serial murder of members of the oil-wealthy Osage Nation, a string of brutal crimes that came to be known as the Reign of Terror, sparking a major F.B.I. investigation involving J. Edgar Hoover. In English and Sioux with EST. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone, Tantoo Cardinal, Jesse Plemons, John Lithgow and Brendan Fraser.

Recommended for ages 16+ for some grisly images, strong language, colonialism, racism and violence that may offend or trigger some audiences.

A soulful and unsettling movie that is self-aware about how storytellers twist and manipulate truth. - Rad Simonpillai, The Globe and Mail
