Smokin’ Fish

This screening took place on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 5:00 pmAtlin

The unusual story of Cory Mann, a quirky Tlingit businessman, and the untold history of his people interweave with the process of preparing traditional food at his family's Klukwan fish camp as Mann struggles to pay his bills, keep the IRS off his back, and keep his Juneau-based businesses afloat. A delightful film about discovering oneself, one’s culture and history, and existing in a modern North. Q&A with co-director Luke Griswold-Tergis follows the screening. Travel support for Luke to attend the screening was generously provided by Tle’Nax T’awei Group. This TV version of Smokin' Fish does not contain any course language.
