Stop Animation Workshop with Amanda Strong

In this 2-day workshop participants can make their own puppet, bring an object themselves to animate or use pre-made template puppets made by Amanda. Participants will get a chance to see and use animation and editing software.
Amanda Strong is an Indigenous (Michif) filmmaker, media artist and stop motion artist currently based in unceded Coast Salish territory, also known as Vancouver. Amanda’s work looks into lndigenous lineage, language and unconventional methods of story telling. Her films have screened across the globe, most notably at Cannes, TIFF, VIFF, and Ottawa International Animation Festival. Amanda is currently developing the new short animations as well as research and development into the process of bringing her works into interactive spaces.
