Available Light FIlm Festival 2020 Highlights - UPDATED DEC 18!

Available Light Film Festival (ALFF) Jan 31st - Feb 09th, 2020
Venues: Yukon Arts Centre  |  Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre  |  Old Fire Hall

ALFF 2020 highlights Indigenous and northern cinema alongside Canadian and international films, with 80+ screenings, live performances and media art exhibitions. The concurrent ALFF Industry conference will present speakers and decision-makers from across Canada.

James Vs His Future Self – Jeremy LaLonde, comedy

Willie – Laurence Mathieu-Léger, Documentary about first black NHL hockey player Willie O'Ree

One Man Dies a Million Times – Jessica Oreck, Drama shot in the Valivov seed-bank in St Petersburg, RU

L.A. Tea Time – Sophie Bédard Marcotte, French Canadian road documentaire

Kuessipan – Myriam Verreault, Coming of age of two Innu women, based on novel

For Sama – Waad al-Kateab, gripping human rights doc during seige of Aleppo

And Then We Danced – Georgian/Swedish production of young gay man ocming of age in Tlsibili

A Place of Time and Tide – Obersavtional doc of rural life on St. Laurence north shore in Quebec

Nomad: In the Footsteps of Bruce Chatwin – Werner Herzog, doc tribute to English adventurer and writer
